Professional wrestling is a challenging profession, requiring both athletic ability and the ability to telegraph drama to an audience. Yet the talented performers who make up this sport often receive little respect for their difficult work. The aim of this essay is to convey the drama, physicality and pure spectacle of a professional wrestling match.

Timothy – I was looking through the finalists with a friend of mine and we were instantly drawn in by your tones. The use of color in this collection of pictures helps set a mood, which is solid. Your edit needs a bit tightening up but overall this represents a good start to a project you can continue for some time. Ben Lowy did a great piece on MMA fighting that would be worth looking at. Keep applying your unique aesthetic to the subject and this will develop into a nice body of work over time if you continue to pursue it.

ok.. TIMOTHY...
i have no problem with the wrong exposures and the "wrong" white balances here...
on the contrary... i love them...
but you forgot something important... the audience... thats the magic trick...
The wrestlers they can only "give" us the story... but the audience would give us the feeling...
You are definitely up to something... but it seems that you fell in love with your own photos
more than you should... therefore i see the " same" photo over and over..
Again, for ALL in here... its ok to love the story you chose... its ok to believe in your photos...
but you have to think of your audience... A photo that mean a lot to you... might mean nothing to them...
