Josh Zirschky was raised around the Seattle area and has been a commercial fisherman for the last eight years. Throughout those years he has also worked for relief and non-profits shooting pictures in and out of South Africa, Swaziland, Ethiopia, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Mexico, and Europe. He came to understand photography from a young age of 12 and ever since has been drawn to its science. Zirschky went on to study photography at Montana State University and the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. He arrived in New York partially by accident, to photograph, and is now experiencing the grind of the city. He continues to trod down the path looking for work and photographing the grit of Gotham.
