Vewd is made by you. We want the photography you care about, that you want to see, that you think is important - but that doesn't include camera phone pictures of your cat.
Multiple Essays
It might be frustrating, but we only review one of your essays at a time, so pick a solid essay to submit. We’ll respond with a letter of acceptance or denial by e-mail. If your essay gets denied, don’t take it personally, because we definitely want to see more of your stuff; but for some reason that topic didn’t hit the spot. Your photography account will be reset (we delete the photos) so you can upload another essay.
Equipment
Vewd is open to any technique and related equipment. Doesn't matter if you shot it with your fancy digital SLR or through a pinhole in a tissue box. As long as you took it and it looks reasonable on the computer screen, we’ll accept it.
Size
Our gallery displays images at 800px on the longest side. When you upload, provide JPG images at a minimum of 800px on the longest side, quality of more than 7. If you use Photoshop's "Save for Web" feature, everything should be fine. They should be between 100kb and 300kb (no larger than 1MB, please). We wont check it when you upload, but we can't publish it if they're smaller. If you don't understand any of this, e-mail us for some help.
Details
When completing your essay, please keep in mind the photos you upload into your account are the same ones we could use on our site. Your photos should be:
At least 700 pixels on the longest side.
.JPEG/.JPG format
72dpi or higher
No larger than 1MB each
